The Extra Strength Solution

RigidForm systems employ a simple, yet elegant, design that can actually double the wind resistance of the siding panel. CertainTeed's design innovation is centered on the nailing hem, where the siding panel attaches to the wall. The RigidForm system features a rolled-over design which doubles the thickness of the nailing hem, increasing wind resistance, while at the same time stiffening the panel. The system is engineered to align precisely with construction standards of 16" and 24" on center (o.c.), and the easy-to-follow letter guide pattern indicates where studs are located. Insure Secure Installation

Fastening to studs is the recommended method of siding installation simply because it provides more strength and security. In helping to assure proper nailing to studs, STUDfinder contributes to the elimination of blow-offs and other problems related to insufficient or excessive fastening.
